Street Fair Cookie Recipes - Lemon Cookies & Maple Cookies

These are the yummy cookies that we were handing out at the 2007 Hudson Street Fair. So many people asked for the recipe, we decided to publish it here - Enjoy!

Lemon Cookies

Cookie Ingredients (makes about 3 dozen)
Glaze* Ingredients

Directions

Combine the butter/margarine, granulated sugar and salt until fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Mix in the sour cream, lemon zest and juice. Gradually mix in the flour. On a floured board, roll the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch (6mm). Using a knife, cut the dough with crossing diagonal lines for diamond shaped cookies or use a cookie cutter of your choice. Place onto buttered and floured cookie sheets. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 6 minutes or until the edges start to golden. As the cookies cool, drizzle the glaze over them using a spoon - the glaze will harden slightly. Enjoy!


Maple Cookies
